ISTQB Certified Tester - Advanced Level: Test Automation Engineer (English, CTAL-TAE)

The course is an accredited training designed to prepare for the ISTQB® Certified Tester – Advanced Level exam. It provides a detailed insight in methods and technics for a strategic test automation set up. Starting with the basic groundwork activities and the definition of a sustainable architecture, test automation is developed in a stepwise approach. Operational and maintenance aspects are covered for a comprehensive understanding of test automation. Supplementary aspects like automated reporting and the selection of relevant metrics complete the topic. Additional emphasis is put on the structured transition of existing manual tests into an automated solution.

Requirements

For participating in the exam, the ISTQB^® Certified Tester Foundation Level certification and 18 months of practical experience are required.

Objective

With this training, you are prepared to set up and maintain test automation based on agreed architectural criteria within a development project or for an existing product. You are familiar with the required processes and know how to apply solution approaches adequately. You know about automation risks and can make an educated selection of targeted manual and automated test approaches.
